THANKS!!

I came into the country unsure and a bit confused
And I wasn't sure dealing with my past was something I was ready to do!
Confronting all my demons isn't easy for me
But that's what I need to do in order to achieve
Expressing my feelings and dealing with my pain
We've all had troubled pasts and in some way can relate
Learning to overcome and eventually move on
What hasn't yet killed me has only made me strong
Over the last few days I've grown and come a long way
It's time for me to make a change and stop living in yesterday
I wanna be a better person
And accomplish some of my dreams
I wanna make a difference
And be the best person I can be!

I want to fly

When I was much younger, I knew I wanted to fly, fly to every place in this world, fly over the mountain peaks, and fly over the ocean. Even in my dreams I dreamed that I had wings to fly and flew the boundless universe. Moreover, I believe this was to determine my future; but this flight, it has come so far, so very far…

A few years ago, I used to think that parents must let go our hands and let us have the freedom to hover in the shimmering skies. However, I was wrong; parents are not kite strings to tether us, and kids are not kites. It is just an analogy: it is not part of real life.  The song says: "in this world the only people who love you-are your family. Children with a happy family possess a rare treasure; children without a happy family have only straw…"

When I was truly leaving home and going my own way, I realised how hard life could be; this happened at a time of great sadness. Parents had already begun laying down a road for us, but we just did not go their way. We followed our own path the one we chose for ourselves. You may think it is an error of judgement mistake; however, it turns into a set of obstacles in your path. When you wake up, it is far too late and how to reach your true goal- you have to resolve by yourself.

I used to think it easy to conquer fate. However it is not easy. When you are ready to enter this world, you find that it is hard to stand firm: you are so very fragile.  You must adapt to this society. If you do not, you will be cast out. If you want to stand firm, you must pay the price; you must face and overcome a whole slew of challenges.

Someone once said, do not treat yourself too generously; the smaller the sum, the smaller the totality. However someone else said stand tall, gaze into the far distance. We must be rational beings; you must know which you want to be, the first or the second. I am wrong. Ok! Let me make it become clear. When I become a bird, and start to fly, that means I will never stop unless I break my wings. My wings are my dream, and if I break them, I lose the dream. If there are no dreams, life loses its meaning. Now I have no home -nowhere to rest, but I cannot exist without a dream; it will be my life. I must make it happen.

If you ask me to give up my dream, I will refuse and cry that I want to fly. We must understand we have wings and our wings are for flying. We must live in the sky. We already belong to the sky; it is the only place we can survive. We must fly; we were destined to fly.

I want to fly; I want to have freedom. I want to fly; I want to possess my own sky. I want to fly; I am a bird, I belong to nature. I want to fly; I am a pilot, my future is in the sky. I want to fly, fly to heaven, and fly on to the…

I want my ice cream

For the website, I'd like to say something funny to make the children in care laugh because I know they wouldn't always be happy in everything. So I thought I would tell them something (story) from my past when I was a child. I can't remember how old I was but I was very little.

One day I told my dad to buy me an ice cream. Everyone my age, they all had one but I didn't because my dad hadn't any money because my house is very poor but I was a child and I didn't know anything about that and you know what he said anyway, you can guess…he said "NO".

I was so angry, stamping my feet and crying because all other children, they tried to lick their ice cream slowly to tease me. So fury, I ran to the kitchen, grabbed the knife and chased my dad to get the money to buy an ice cream.

I couldn't even remember it until four years ago when my dad told me. I was feeling very guilty and apologised after that!
