Your rights

You have RIGHTS at YOUR Review Meeting.

  • You will be listened to.
  • Your wishes and feelings will be taken into account.
  • You can take someone with you to talk on your behalf.
  • You can have an interpreter if necessary or have other special arrangements if you have a disability.
  • You will be told before the meeting what will be talked about.
  • You can have it translated into your first language if necessary.
  • You can ask questions if you don't understand.
  • You will be given a written copy of Decisions and Minutes that are made at the meeting, which can be kept in your red file. This will include where you will live, contact with your family and friends, your education, your health, and how you can do the hobbies and other things that you would like to do.
  • If you are unhappy with the decisions you have the right to complain, just ask your Social Worker or the Independent Reviewing Officer who is in charge of the Review Meeting or you click here for a form to fill out.
