- It is issued a few months before your 16th birthday [usually between 15 years and 9 months after your birth]. Phone 0191 225 5670.
- No one claiming for you? - like you are in care, living semi-independently or it's just the case that no one is claiming - then contact 0191 225 5670 to arrange for your NI number to be sent.
- Lost your NI number? Fill in a CA5403 form at the nearest benefits office.
